PSQ Fall Concert 2022

Dear Friends,

OThe Peachtree String quartet is delighted to celebrate its 11th season and to be returning to the Garden Hills Recreation Center at 3 PM, November 20. Our fall concert features Beethoven’s string quartet, opus 132 number 15. This late period string quartet known for its “Heiliger Dankgesang” movement is an intensely personal work Beethoven wrote literally thanking God for helping him recover from a life threatening illness. It is a song of gratitude and we are feeling especially grateful now to be returning to our home venue.

Also on the program is Haydn’s string quartet opus 76 number 5.

Joining us on the program is ASO violinist Robert Anemone.

The Recreation Center offers listeners a chance to hear great string quartet performances in an intimate atmosphere. We take pride in the personal connections we make with our audiences during our presentations at the "Rec Center”. One listener recently described the concert experience as if "sitting inside a great big cello”. We are proud of our diverse audiences and the sense of community that shared love of music helps engender every time we get together. ARTSATL recently described PSQ as “one of Atlanta’s best kept secrets… classical fans hungry for a diverse repertoire and masterful players are strongly encouraged to join the ranks of the Peachtree String Quartet’s growing audience”.

After the concert, we hope you can stay to have a glass of wine with us on the deck - we enjoy getting to know our audiences after our performances.

Please see details about tickets and reservations for the concert in the announcement below.

We look forward to seeing you Sunday, November 20!
